Because of the generosity of many members of the Rotary Club of Central DuPage AM, a financial drive lead by Club President Mike Bock, was held to help a homeless family in Haiti have shelter and the necessary supplies to be able to live a little easier after surviving the devastation of the earthquake. "We cannot turn our backs and forget that the need for our help is still there today as it was in January", stated Rotarian and Vice President Bill Keffer.

The club collected donations to purchase what is called a ShelterBox which contains a ten-person tent that is designed to withstand extreme temperatures, high winds and heavy rainfall. In addition to the tent, the boxes contain a range of other survival equipment including blankets, water purification kits, and tools. Every box even contains a children's pack complete with drawing books, crayons and pens. If you would like more information about how you could donate to this cause, or if you are interested in joining us at our weekly meeting on Wednesdays at 7:00 AM at the Cantigny Golf Club in Wheaton Questions?
